The duo Cycles, created in 2019, blends the sounds of the prepared piano and saxophone into a hypnotic musical conversation.
The duo feeds on a multitude of music, mainly Jazz but also largely Contemporary Music, whether spectral, serial or minimalist, Gamelan or even early music. In this way, Cycle is defined by a moving journey through forms and timbres where composition and improvisation blend and blur the audience’s perception by moving the instrument’s sounds away from known territories, in order to create a musical space for the meeting of imaginary worlds.
