Mobiles uses trumpets, flutes and toy instruments as an acoustic starting points for an improvisational language that includes electronics in a sensitive and original way. Using Pure Data patches broadcast over Bluetooth speakers, and portable synthesizers and samplers, Mobiles blurs the distance between acoustic and electronic sounds, creating hypnotic, shifting sonic illusions. Oscillating between pre-established playing systems and instant composition, Mobiles moves through time, balancing between flash backs and fast forwards, giving rise to a stasis teeming with detail and rupture.
