Emilian Ducret is a French drummer, percussionistand composer. He joined the CNSM in Paris in 2018 to study jazz and improvised music. He is experimenting in a wide range of musical genres, from rhythmic contemporary jazz to latin popular music, such as Cuban rumba. His interests resides mainly in the various ways of playing and interpretating rhythm in different musical cultures. Drawing as much inspiration from Steve Lehman’s music than Cuban bata drum rhythms, Emilian is both a leader and a solid sideman in various different projects.
