Every year since 2021, l’Autre Ensemble has brought together French, Norwegian, and European musicians to create new repertoire. After commissioning works from Eve Risser, Kalle Moberg, Matt Choboter, and Fanny Menegoz, l’Autre Ensemble is now focusing on creating and developing compositions by its own members.

This year, alongside the Franco-Norwegian core formed by members of l’Autre Collectif, the ensemble is joined by Emilian Ducret on drums, Maren Sofie Nyland Johansen on accordion, Lou Ferrand on voice, and Johannes Elnan on double bass.

The repertoire, composed specifically for this occasion, will navigate between intricate rhythmic cycles and infinite series, moving between jazz, folk, and contemporary music. Once again, it will explore the sonic and poetic territories that this multifaceted ensemble has been opening up over the past five years.
